Westwood Cottage

About this stay

A modern take on original farm cottages, designed to capture the rustic character from a bygone era. Wide verandahs, a wood-burning fireplace, and a kitchen made for slow mornings and long conversations. Experience totally off-grid living in comfort. Enjoy gorgeous rural views over forest to distant mountains while sipping your favourite beverage with ice from the freezer. On cooler evenings, stoke up the wood-burning fireplace with the firewood provided to relax with a glass of wine or a cuppa. A coffee pod machine and a choice of teas is provided, as is enough full cream milk for a cuppa on arrival. Any non-dairy or alternative milks will need to be supplied by guests.

There is a Smart TV and some books for those that want to stretch out on the couch, plus an old fashioned jigsaw puzzle and a deck of cards. Westwood Cottage has a wet room bathroom with walk-in shower and bath. Enjoy a relaxing soak using the bath salts provided while taking in the bush views. The well equipped kitchen includes a full size fridge, cooktop and oven for cooking a shared meal, and dishwasher for convenience. Alternatively, the local pub situated a couple of kilometres away is open for lunch & dinner. Westwood Cottage sleeps up to four, making it the right choice for parents with older children (14 years and over), close friends or two couples travelling together. Enjoy the same unhurried pace that defines every stay at Woodvale. No parties or events are permitted to be held on the property.
